A Note on Thanksgiving

While reflecting on Thanksgiving and researching Thanksgiving related to the Bible this wonderful notation came up: A spiritual attitude: Thanksgiving is a way of life, a continuous expression of praise to God for who He is and what He has done, not just a reaction to good events. But, of course we can continue to thank God for all our blessings. As we enter the Advent Season let us continue in giving and helping others to give them something to be grateful for.

Recent Events

We had a very nice time making Advent Wreaths on November 16th. We enjoyed the fellowship, holiday music, hot chocolate and cookies while getting creative. Thanks to all who participated.

Getting to Know You: Photo Project

As there are so many new faces in church these days, the Christian Life Board would like to help each and everyone of us learn the names that match the faces. We will be seeking permission to take pictures of church attendees, as families or individuals, in front of the painted canvas of the church. We will then make labels with names and post these on the Christian Life bulletin board in the fellowship hall.

Board Updates and Contacts

We welcome Rebecca and Jeff Morin to a shared position on our board. We look forward to their input and support. As a note to all church members, please don’t hesitate to come forward to one of the board members (names listed below) with ideas for the adults of the church and you can speak with Colleen Fipps regarding any youth /children suggestions or questions.

Upcoming Events

Join us November 30th for the Pot Luck Dinner and watching of “The Star” and then be sure to come see the children’s pageant on December 7th along with Experience Bethlehem right after church!
