We are looking for interested facilitators for a new grief support program we are bringing to Brookfield Congregational Church and community. 

If you'd like to train as a GriefShare group facilitator, you don’t need to be a counselor or have all the answers—just compassion and a willingness to serve. About the Program

Are you—or someone you love—grieving the death of a loved one? You don’t have to navigate this journey alone. At Brookfield Congregational Church, we’re offering GriefShare, a compassionate and Christ-centered grief support program that can help you find comfort and community on this difficult road. 

Who Is Welcome?

GriefShare welcomes anyone grieving the death of a loved one—whether it’s a spouse, parent, child (any age), friend, coworker, or other relative. While firmly rooted in Christian hope, many from diverse faith backgrounds—including non-religious individuals—have found it helpful and supportive.

What to Expect in a GriefShare Meeting

Each session of the 13 week format includes:

  • 30-minute videowith expert insights, relatable stories, and biblical guidance.

  • group discussion, where sharing is encouraged but never required.

  • participant workbookfilled with helpful exercises, reflections, and encouragement to use during and between sessions
